Default Another setback.

1st my second hand chassis had incorrect suspension mounts.
2nd my engine plans were not going to be easy.

Now I find that at least one of the second hand (same seller) rear uprights has bolt holes that don't line up with the hub flange

I can't get to the other one to check it at the moment.

Bit P......d off at another unplanned problem croping up.

Which hole(s) do not line up? you might be able to get round it with a little bit of 'cut and pasteing'.

Are the hex plates RU7 or 8 (sorry can't remember the part numbers) laser cut or do they look home made? I only ask as I had some of these that where wrong the holes where not off set. If your not careful how you fix the problem the surrounding steel gets tempered hard and you can not redrill it.

Weld up, re-drill, re-tap

Welding would have to be of good quality though

It gets your back up at the time but all these little probs are soon forgotten once its finished
