Question shocks - protech V dampertech

Hi guys

I'm ready to buy my shocks now, as I understand it they need to be 13" open, 9" closed with a solid one inch extension making it 14" eye to eye ??

Is there anything else I should be looking to specify when ordering? What spring rates have people gone for?

And who is running Protech, who is running Dampertech? I'm leaning towards dampertech based on what I've seen, won't have to muck around modifying the brackets slighty?

Thanks
Josh

I personaly have Gaz shocks bought from Dampertech. If you say they are for a Haynes Roadster the man knows which ones you want.
Ive got 350lb for the front and 200lb rears. That is with a pinto upfront. If you are going bec it would be lower.

I don't know the difference between the two apart from the protechs are a bit dearer.
Mine were £340 inc vat and delivery back in November.

Saturns,s demo car ( Spuds car ) is fitted with Protech shocks & the car handles like a dream, a nice ride when just "cruising along" & well balanced & "planted" when the right foot is applied in anger

350lb springs on the front ( 2.0 ltr Zetec engine )
250lb springs on the rear.

The car has also been corner weighted so its nicely set up.

cheers
andy
