Default Scuttle placement?

Can someone just confirm for me that the front edge of the scuttle goes where the top chassis rails start to taper in? I only have the scuttle at the moment, so I can't mock it all up to see!

Cheers

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Yes if you place the start of the scuttle at the front edge of U3 and U6 this will be just right. You may need to push the sides in slightly but this is normal as the can relax slightly after it comes out of the mold.

I was wondering about pushing the sides in, good to know it's not just me! What method of attachment should I use to fix the scuttle? Does it need to be removable?

Thanks
Josh

I used rivnuts just incase i wanted to remove it, just as well coz i took it off about 3 times before iva messing about with things!

Dont forget if you are using fibeglass panels they will add a little thickness on the sides too. You dont want to attach the scuttle flush with the chassis rails before fitting the sides as you will end up with a small step where they meet
