Roll Bar seat mounts IVA
I'm wondering at what height I need to put the seat belts for IVA. I read that in a crash that they can't pull on the seat so would this height be OK?? They are TRS belts running through cobra seats.
Would I be better off taking the belts around the seats rather than running through the cut-outs? |

There is a diagram and measurements in the IVA manual.
A piece of wood 153mm long by 43 mm high placed on the seat pushed to touch the backrest, measure from the top front edge of the block straight up 450mm the draw a line horizontal back to the seat belt mounts on the roll bar, the mounts should bet at this height or higher. For IVA don't put the straps through the seat run them round it. |

Don't think they will pass IVA, there needs to be a form of head restraint.

Ahh Section 15 Seat Strength
"6. A system of head restraint must be fitted on every outboard front seat." |

With regard to the headrest, my slightly shorter friend sat in the car tonight and his head was on the headrest on the seat.
I may just fabricate a pad that comes down from the roll bar to satisfy the IVA tester. |

Sounds like a good idea to satisfy iva tester, if your friends head was on the seat the harnesses must have been around his ears!

If you have a fixed head restraint the seats also have to be non-adjustable

Is there an off the shelf seat that ticks all the iva boxes that i would get my lardy bot to fit in?
