Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

Well Done Wasa,

Looking really nice to and nearly ready for IVA, looks like you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Hope that's a private road OR you could book a pre MOT inspection and have a good blast out / shakedown.

All the Best....AndyH

I must say it runs very quiet, have you had the decibel,s checked? if so what were the readings please?
I,m asking as my exhaust seems a little loud "er"
I think I might need a better silencer.

A big well done

cheers

Thats a good idea Dave, Tho i,d be worried that the wool would blow out just at the wrong moment

My silencer is an old Robin Hood one that I got cheap, only prob is, its not the type that can be taken apart, so might try shoving some wire wool up its jacksy & hope for the best

cheers

Like the look of your car OP, bet that drive felt good.
Handyandy, if your exhaust is like the one on my 2b my advise would be to bin it. It is just a hollow chamber, I had to make a tube to go in the xhaust and restrict the flow, you can't add silencer material without having a removable end. I might be able to source you another one the same as mine if that's any good? Mine is off a Caterham, it's fully repackable.

Andy, you're Robin hood silencer defo wont pass IVA.
I used one of those plus an extra short silencer,
check pic

I only just scraped through SVA, and the IVA limit is defo lower.
