I don't rate my Clarke, it was an insurance replacement for a SIP. But many have good experiences. I would recomend not running it on flux wire and to use it as a proper gas setup.

I have the Clarke 151en turbo running on gas and its an ok machine, will do most things required for the home hobby welder.
The one you say you can get second hand is a tad expensive in my opinion as you could get the same as mine brand new for about £200 ish on a v a t free day, but you'll also need a gas regulator which cost approx £38 on v a t free days.

If it was me i'd be going for a new one.

Cheers
Andy
