Post summer hoot 2010

A while back i posted up a topic about a run out to scottingland / borders - i did a reccie on the trip - too much main roads so decided to change the route to a big circular of the north east. Comes in at 346km starting at Stokesley high street and finishing at Rushyford arms.

Route goes down the chop gate road to helmsley, taking the back roads to easingwold, ripon, masham, leyburn, hawes, kirkby stephen, penrith, then coming over the west approach of hartside going east, alston, hexham, blanchland, then back down the A689 towards bishop auckland and rushyford.

I've nearly finished the tulip route directions and think that the best time for this would be the sunday 12th september.

was gonna be august bank holiday but theres a lot of chaps already away playing cars so will move it on a few weeks..

anyone interested should let me know and i'll send out the map and directions in the near future once its complete.

im working out now the fuel stops so theres no worry about running out and of course food stops!

all interested contact me Terry

brown.terry@sky.com

thanks

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

still ok to bring your tin top - unless its a big van of course! its about just doing the route not racing round it.. the route is tricky.. come along for the run..
