Default Which seat belts?

Hi,

I got some 4 point harnesses for my car but adjusted as small as they can go its just hanging off me. I have fat padded seats and a fat padded front on me too.

What harnesses are you guys using in a roadster?

Cheers
Stot

I have been wondering the same thing. I've been worried if I order seven style ones they will be too short with the attachment point being on the roll bar. I don't Fancy the trs ones and would ideally like a aeroplane style buckle.

Saturn MX5 Based Chassis, Limited Slip Diff & 2.4 Quick Rack.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.

Not a silly question, but no I don't think I did. I compared the westfield ones on ebay to others and they looked just as long so went with the ones I got because they had no logo on them and I didn't want logos.

I don't want to be paying £100 each for them though.

Cheers

These look a much better bet. Going for black ones as red ones dont look right against the darker red seats.

Hi Stot,
I bought mine from Prima Motorsport. Custom made to your design i.e.. straps either pull up or down, quick release buckle on left hand side for driver and right hand side for passenger and choice of snap hooks or bolted. Just tell Tess what you want, extremely helpful lady.
IVA approved.
Ok they were around £90 each but well worth it in my opinion.

I like the look of your belts so may give them a call. Did you need to specify the length or are they a standard size?

Hi David,
Standard size. Very nice harness custom built, what could be better....
Here's a quote from their site...

NOW VOSA APPROVED FOR IVA TESTING
Prima Motorsport are proud to announce that after many months of negotiating and diplomacy, we have persuaded VOSA and the Department of Transport that our FIA approved harnesses, homologated to FIA 8853 – 98 are an acceptable standard to pass an IVA (Individual Vehicle Approval [IVA] Manual for Vehicle Category M1 [Passenger Vehicles] with effect from the revision date of 24th May 2010.
