Default Geedle Build Thread

Hi,

I have been slowly working on my Haynes MX5 build. Progress is really slow (kids, work, house and other unreliable cars) but I am close to finishing the chassis.

My aim is to build rather than buy as much as possible. So I'm working on brackets for the wishbones and the struts, but I stopped to build a press and die to make it a bit neater/easier (the press is awesome, if not pretty).

Here is a couple of pics of progress:

My previous project was a ground up rebuilt of my series Landy, So I'm hoping for less rust and a project that will fit better in my single garage.

Geedle (Gareth).

Great to see another new builder!
Looks like you've stormed ahead with the chassis, hope you make faster progress than I have

I did a lot before my first post - progress is painfully slow!

Nearly done all the tacking together. Want to make a time lapse video of the welding...

Well done so far. Always ask when you hit a problem - most on here have already got there and sorted it so will be ready willing and able to help :-)
