Default Tubes U1 and U2 alignment

Right, I'm still progressing with my virtual build in solidworks, and have come onto tubes U1 and U2..

Using the 361mm measurement on page 38, they don't align quite as well with the front frame as they do if that figure is changed to approx 350mm (trying to get maximum alignment along the length of it).

With 361mm everything stacks up with the book so it's not as if my chassis model is wrong.

At the height of the upper wishbone mounting brackets we're only talking about a difference of <1mm, but there's a much greater difference lower down between the front frame uprights and U1 and U2

Any thoughts?

Default

ok im fitting u1 + u2 and im just not getting the aspect of fig 4.10 on page 39

does u1+2's front corner poke out the outer edge of tr1+2's with the back edge aligned with the side face of tr1/2.

or if any one has a photo that could clear all this trouble up

i do think we need a sticky or links with all the tricky bits of the chassis explained or would that make it too easy
