Default Roadster project for sale...

Sort of.

I may have been slightly silly and bought a second part completed build, so I've got doubles of stuff. Everything's in the Midlands (Coventry). Pick up's cool, I make regular trips to south Wales so could meet on the way, I can post most parts and can do it fairly cheaply using a deliver-to-shop service (i.e. the parcel gets sent to a local shop rather than your direct address for you to collect).

***DEPOSIT TAKEN*** 1 radiator. From a Renault Clio (I think a mark 2 as in the book). Brand new and hasn't seen coolant. New ones seem to go for about £45 on eBay. £25.

***DEPOSIT TAKEN*** 1 ali fuel tank. Supplied by NTS, built by K4KEV for an MX-5 build. New and unused. £70. NTS sold them for £120.

***1 x PAIR PROVISIONALLY SOLD*** 2 pairs of driveshafts for 1600 diff. Bolt on flanges, I was going to replace the boots, they're not split but some of them look very used. £15 a pair.

***1 x PAIR SOLD***2 pairs of MX5 handbrake cables. Figured I didn't need 3 pairs! The going rate on eBay seems to be £15 a pair, so how does £5 a pair sound?

***PAIR SOLD, 1 X N/S STILL AVAILABLE*** GRP side panels. 2 x N/S in Kawasaki green from SSC's seconds sale (discoloured gel). One has some sanding marks. No cut outs or anything. 1 x O/S in white supplied new by Andy Hugill at the end of 2012. Still in it's packaging. I was going to spray the bodywork. The new panel cost me nearly £100 with delivery on its own. £30 for the remaining N/S panel.

***SOLD*** Saturn Sports Cars GRP rear diffuser. Unused. Black. In very good condition except for a small, easily repairable crack to one of the fins. Gillham sell them for £120. Selling as I have another diffuser to fit. £40.

Front and rear brakes for the 1.8 MX5. Comprises carriers and full set of calipers. Worked well when pulled off the donor. Fronts are used, rears were refurbished units that were fitted for 2/3 months before the car was broken up. 1 rear caliper is an OEM caliper, the other is an aftermarket one, but looks completely different to the aftermarket ones currently for sale and it has an OEM style handbrake cable bracket, the aftermarket ones I've seen don't have this). They may not come with the mounting bolts (I need to find them first!). Will split the calipers into front/rear sets if requested, the carriers however will go as a set of 4, as they are a popular upgrade for early 1.6 brakes. Reason for selling is that I have a set of early 1.6 brakes to go on the Roadster to allow the option of 13" wheels in the future. £40 for the carriers, £30 for the front calipers, £75 for the rear calipers (refurbished rear calipers are about £80 each).

Pair of mark 1 MX-5 front uprights. £20.

Set of early MX-5 'daisy' alloys with Avon ZV3 tyres. Tread on them are all very good (they look like new), however history of the tyres is unknown. Offers. Selling as I have too many sets of wheels!

MX-5 upper column with switchgear, OEM non-airbag steering wheel (column has been cut for removal so can't be reused on a MX-5, not a problem on a Roadster as the column needs to be lengthened!) £30.

Mark 1 MX-5 handbrake handle assembly, with plastic trim pieces. £10.

***SOLD PENDING COLLECTION***Rollbar. Nicely welded, seems to be 50mm diameter tube, no backstays etc, just a bar with a harness bar. Not to book spec, will get dimensions. Absolutely no good to me as I have a full cage. Just seeing if someone could make use of it before I find an alternative use for it! Offers.

***SOLD*** Pair of poly mounts for the mark 1/2/2.5 MX-5 diff casing 'ears'. Brand new, never fitted. Selling as have solid ally mounts fitted instead. £20.

3 x brand new Sierra steering column (the triangular part) to Escort spline column couplings. Rally Design part number RD850. Bought in error, they're no good for an MX5 build! Cost £19.50 + VAT (£23.40 inc VAT) on RallyDesign at the mo. 2 are still sealed in the packets. £17 each.

Could do a deal if someone wanted to buy several parts as a job lot.

Lol. Whilst I did have enough parts to almost build 2 fairly complete chassis, I simply don't have the room. I have have just enough room to work on the chassis I'm keeping as it is now!

Wish I lived closer
I would be happy if you can send nosecone and rear arches... but I know it can be tricky...
I had offer from one of Polish transportation companies so maybe I can arrange my own courier...
Is it possible ? Are you OK with it ?
