Default Treadplate Pedal Covers & IVA

If I put some treadplate covers on the face of my pedals would this pass the IVA. I suppose more importantly will they be grippy when wet etc..
I have formed some to suit the radius of the pedal faces and they look good (not that you will probably ever see them) but i'm holding off from fixing them.

Alternatively i have some grip tape (like skateboard deck tape) which i could use but the treadplate looks so much better and wont wear away like the grip tape probably would.

Ta

Grip tape now post IVA and pretty to suit later.
I drilled some holes through and then raised them with a punch from the back to form a non slip surface.

Some things IVA call for are bonkers but grippy pedals are one of the really good ideas as tread plate will get "polished" during use and become very slippery.

Grip tape is the best stuff to use as the last thing you want is your foot slipping off the brake when you really need it.
