Thanks a lot for that. In terms of dimensions and difference for the chassis I have bought that Keith Tanner book to see how much useful info it has. If you don't have it and want to know anything it says just let me know!

Sorry to say the Keith Tanner book is as much use as a chocolate teapot. It is basically a build diary with no information at all...

Get in touch with John at 3GE - he has all the dimensions sorted for the MK1 at least.

Oh well! Might be an interesting read anyway! Will contact 3GE some time today. Hoping to get some info on the measurements of the mk2 engine, gearbox and diff of one of the MX5 forums, once I have these I should be able to fab the chassis pretty well, Looks like I will have an engine to test fit, once I have test fitted that I can check it lines up which will hopefully prove that the gearbox and diff mountings will work as well!
