Default gearbox

hi all, which gearbox do you recommend? i ask this as the type 9 is becoming hard to come by, the other two if im right are the mt 75(is this from a transit?) and the mx5, i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction,

I think Ford gearboxes are popular because of the range of bellhousings avaialble to mate them to different engines. Not sure though - as i'm planning to use an engine/gearbox combo as it came out of my donor...

I don't think Type 9 are that hard to come by if you are prepared to pay for them , equally there are also quite a few Sierras still out there if you are prepared to look - again it might be the cost that puts you off...
