Default Group Buy: Folded Diff Mount Brackets?

I've drawn the diff mount brackets DM1 and DM2 in 3D CAD as part of my build, modifying the design to have them folded rather than welded to make it simpler and less opportunity for error.

I've got the prices from a local sheet metal shop to have them laser cut and brake-press folded in structural steel grade S275, and if I buy more than 10 the price is £26 a pair delivered to you - same as a set on ebay which need welding.

Anybody interested?

If we don't get 10 takers then the price does jump up a lot to £55 a pair, but if we get 7 then i'll cover the cost of the extra 3 pairs and put them on ebay for a small profit. If we don't reach 7 then any interest shown here is non-binding.

I can also look into getting them zinc plated and passivated for an extra cost if you want. Shouldn't be more than a few £ a pair.

That makes 3 so far. I was starting to think I was the only one this early in the build!

I'll give it to the end of the month for more people to register interest.

I was going to weld mine when I get my garage back from it being a storage container for our builders whilst the extension is going up. Quite like the idea of non welded ones though - so you can add me to the list please.

Right, sorry it's taken so long to get back to you about this.

I'm going to take a gamble on selling the other 6 on ebay, and sub the extra ones myself.

That keeps the price at £26 a set, assuming no-one drops out.

You'll shortly be receiving PMs with my paypal address, and i'll get the order raised. It should be no more than a couple of weeks.

If you want them zinc plated let me know, and once I have the parts i'll get a quote and advise the extra price, and you can send more.
