Default rear driveshaft gaiters.

cleaning the rear driveshafts at weekend and gaiters are shot. the factory ones are one piece. I could fit glue on ones but prefer not to. the joints seem to be sealed unit, is it possible to split these or not.
any help welcome

You can split the joints and the boots & tin tubes are available as a kit from Ford for quite reasonable money but only for the joints with a big tin can type tube on them about 2 to 3 inches long, mine had a bigger can which was only about an inch long so I used quinton hazell stretchy boots.These stretch and slide over the joint in one piece using a big plastic cone and fit well, quite cheap too, don`t even think about the split boots you glue together, they`re a complete waste of time.

try this..... 180384771057 item number on ebay ( sorry can,t do linky thing), the item has ended but it gives a contact number i believe,
its the cone thing , £17.95 for the pair, its what i,m using too
