plumbing the 2lt pinto
Hi all
I have a 2lt pinto installed with a 2 pipe only rad. Now, I have the header tank high on the bulk head 1 large outlet from the header tank and 1 small BUT where do the pipes go to I do not have a heater Help!!!!!!!!!!! |

Check the cooling system pipework from the head which would have run to the heater in the donor. This is often just turned into a closed loop when a heater isnt fitted. This pipework also would have gone to the autochoke on the original downdraft Weber carb.

sorry no donor, no heater, no manifold inlet, no small outlet pipe on the pump, any help would be great

If the rad only has the two connections you will have to cut a double tee into the bottom hose to the rad. One of the pipes from the bottom hose goes to the header tank and the other to go to where the heater pipe came from the head or manifold, that then is the bypass taken care of and if you fit a heater at a later date thats where you will get its feed and return from. then all you need is the purge pipe from the stat housing to the expansion tank.
