Default Battery question

Is it possible to use a bike battery instead of a great big heavy car battery? For the cvh I don't mind using the original battery but when I come to fit the zetec could I use something from a bike and which one?

Rik,

I wouldn't imagine it would have the guts to turn a CVH over, if it did it would only do it for a second. Check out the Cold Cranking Amps of a bike battery and a car battery.

I stand to be corrected MHO

I have a red top 25 in my zetec powered monster. It has never let me down and is specified for a Buell 1200, never needed charging during the 1 1/2 year build. Tucked away in the passenger footwell it goes for a clean install and forget about it.

Ginge - Yeh that was one of my thoughts.

Coozer - Howmuch can you get those batteries for? Do you know if it would fire up a CVH? Whats the specs on the battery?
