My car is finnished! (or almost)
I'm very happy (and a bit proud too) to announce that after 3 years, 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days, my car is finished!
I just need to add the GRP plate Equinox is doing for me to cover the fuel tank compartment (on top of the rear tube), it will be of the same colour as the wings, and I'd also like to add a double stripe of the same colour as the wings all along the centreline of the car, but I can't find a supplier which can provide me with custom RAL colour vinyl for a reasonable quantity and price. I'm also considering different options for the aero screen, I haven't made my mind yet. Went for a short ride yesterday, but the wheels alignment was not correct, and it was very hard to drive. I've adjusted the front wheels today, and went for another very short drive and it felt very good! Can't wait to have it road legal! Now, I have to set up and adjust everything for the car to be ready for the final inspection, hopefully in September. Well done Syl......looks like you had some paint left over from doing the house or was it to blend in with the house.....clever....nasty thieves wont see it lol.
hope you get over that final hurdle and get it on the road before the white stuff comes......car actually looks very retro in those colours .
