Default I'm now getting bored of waiting

I'm now getting bored of waiting for the dvla now!

I have tried phoning a few times to chase it up and only managed to get a response today that a "case has been opened"

It's going to be snowing by the time I get my tax disc at this rate

Saturn MX5 Based Chassis, Limited Slip Diff & 2.4 Quick Rack.

Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though).
Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg.

Default Tales of woe

Tales of woe from dealings with the DVLA are fefinitely on the increase since they closed all the local offices.

Mine was just over 3 weeks. They did tell me there was a small backlog.

I thought somewhere I read it was supposed to be a 2 week turnaround but it says 6 weeks on the gov site these days.

If you don’t get a response

Contact DVLA if you’ve not had a response after 6 weeks. Don’t wait longer than 3 months or DVLA won’t be able to investigate properly.

Dreading this bit. At least I'll be waiting when it's full on winter. I will be asking lots of questions about forms and paperwork.

The latest update.......

One minute the DVLA are saying "yes we have your paperwork" and the next they haven't.

One chap even told me that even though I send everything by special delivery it isn't signed for by the DVLA but the local royal mail depot so he told me "they hadn't lost it" aghhhh.

Another call today and another 30 mins on the phone...

I was then phoned back and told they have got it and it will be processed in the next couple of days!!

fingers crossed I can go for a hoon by the weekend (assuming I haven't forgotten to sned anything to the DVLA)

David
