Default wiring loom head ache

I decided to pull the wiring loom from the mx5 yesterday afternoon after I've been telling myself all week that I was going to leave it alone, I've even written on the body work 'do not touch!'
I don't have more than half the things that plug in to any of the connectors which will make things interesting come refit time, my donor has no interior, doors or any of the dash. So today I'm stripping all the tape from the loom and separating the the engine and lighting from things that a Roadster does'nt need, such as the heavily butchered stereo wiring, aircon control (why would you want this in a rag top?) and any redundant connectors fitted as standard.
I feel a head ache is coming my way later on.....
