Anyone running a cosworth engine?

After fitting a cossie lump in my Haynes any thoughts.

I have a good pinto 205 in already gut not mechanically minded.
Just want more power!!!

It's just a 205 Block with a 16V head, Turbo, EFI and a T5 Borgwarner..

The Marelli Management is no problem.

I am not sure if you can use the type 9, the flywheel bolt pattern may be differenet ( can't remember ) it may be marginal anyway with 200BHP on a 4pot box.

The turbo can be a bit high and wide, the 4x4 manifold helps.
The Cossy has a hand picked Pinto block so type9, mt75 & T5 bolt straight on.

BTW later Escort Cars used the EEC-IV and a smaller turbo.

Cossie Crank has 9 bolts and the standard pinto doesnt

Ive been trying to find out if anyone else made a twin cam head for the Pinto block other than Cosworth - and if it's more affordable ?

Try searching the net for a Warrior head I believe its what you're after.

Janspeed also made a twincam pinto, don't bother looking for one.

The twincam head is only part of the equation anyway.

I seem to recall also, that the janspeed one is only 8V
