Wow its been a while guys......So my car is now up to its first MOT.... buddy hell where did those 3 yrs go. When I last did my dash I neglected to inlude some idiot lights which I have now discovered are manditory for MOT and a working Speedo. So it is now time for a dashboard revamp and a thorough remodelling of the whole car,(big scoop bonnet, carpeting, stereo, new grill, wheel refurb etc etc)....might be selling it this year.
anyway here is a few pics of where I am at with the new dash pod.

Ahhhh, as feared a snapped timing belt, but I must be the luckiest guy around as it seems only one pair of valves had "kissed " the piston. When I leak tested the head there was no leaks, not convinced I took the valves out and checked the in a lathe with a dti and got .02 deflection, I can live with that, so it is back together this time with a Gates belt. Just finished putting the dash back in yesterday so MOT before the end of the month so as to tax it for June...whooooop.

Decided to change the look of my rear so a new set of ebay lights replacing my shabby £2 set I had before....also managed to salvage some nice stainless steel from a patio heater to make some nice rear wheel arch spats/protectors

Looks like you are another photobucket victim K4KEV as the images do not show. Nice to hear of you progress though :-)

Yeah stainless steel is so easy to get a hold of now....you just need to buy a pedal bin from asda and you have your material and already curved, just need to "uncurve" it a bit once cut

Well guys I cannot believe I am about to do this but my treasured painstakingly built Roadster is now up for sale at £10k, I know this sounds like a lot for a Haynes but then mine is a bit special with a crazy horsepower turboed engine and lots of new things added that I have had lying around in the loft for years, like larger power bulge bonnet, diffuser apexi gauges honeycomb grill etc etc
will try to get a spec up soon
