Default A while since i've posted

Just thought i'd show my face as i haven't been around for a while.

Recently sold my everyday car for a van, which has been nothing but trouble since i got it. Every day i've fixed something, something else has broken. It now needs a new injection fuel pump, which is gonna cost me an arm and leg

Which means i haven't been able to get over to the lockup to touch the build.

I had a pop over today to have a tidy up and take a pic. It's off the axle stands now, which i suppose i can class as progress. lol

Best bit so far: Getting it running
Worst bit so far: Cutting steel for wishbones and engine mounts.
Most annoying bit so far: Generator packing up half way through welding.

How long have you been building Dave?

Mine project has been 2.5 years, but so what, every weekend when I work on it is great and a break from everyday life.

I reckon your build is great quality and every time I see your build blog it inspired me to get on with my own.

We all work with different priority's, some being bodywork and function, and others being technical & detail.

Just enjoy your build, and good luck with the van, injection pumps aint keep?

Hi David,

Good to see you back on-line, and nice to see your build. 6 Months is very quick and from what me and HAndy have seen of your build progress you certainly haven't messed around and definitely haven't skimped on quality.

No problem you taking a bit longer to IVA though, dont want you beating my record - May8th 2008 to IVA on 24th January 2009, 7 1/2 months.....

Keep it up....Andrew

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

Andy, i'm sure i could have beaten your build time if it wasn't for all the hold ups! lol

Will be needing a bonnet soon when the vans sorted
