Blimey, that takes me back, same combo I used in my first ever build. The pinto is quite tuneable and with those carbies on there 160 BHP is quite acheivable with a decent fast road cam. I got lucky with mine, I found a big valve head in a scrappy, it did go rather well with that on
Yours looks nice and clean, it will look most pleasant in your roadster.

You cant beat old school, a lot less of that electrickery involved.
Picked up another pinto yesterday off ebay £21.06 will overhaul it and keep for the next project, on saying that Ayjay was looking at it cos he is already on another build but the engine he has bought is to big to go in so it may go off in that direction.
The 1.8 in the photo is to go in after iva as you can't read the engine number fully but you can on the 1.6, so plan is iva with 1.6 and then swap for 1.8 straight after

What will you put on the V5 for the engine number if you cant read it? If you guess you may end up with your car looking like a ringer with someone elses engine number on it.

Going to put the 1.6 in for the test and afterwards change it to 1.8 hush hush
