Default Ash - show us your rad!!

Ash, I'm using the same polo rad as you, but haven't got my nose yet. Do you have a photo of your rad mount, so that I have an idea of the space I have to fit it?

Cheers bud!

Adrian

I think ashG is using a clio rad. Have a look at his thread in this section about "putting the carpet down" he has a pic of his car there that may give you some idea, doesn't show the mounts though.

Just need a quick photo if poss so that I can see where in space to mount the rad. Don't want to make a brackt up and then find that it's in the wya of the nose.

Cheers

Adrian, my chassis isn,t at my home address but can get photos for you tomorrow if that,ll help ?
tho to be honest with you there is LOADS of space for the polo rad as long as you don,t go lower than the bottom chassis rail as thats where the nose attaches to.
would you like any photos ?

cheers
andy

Fair point Andy! Did you angle yours or go straight up?

Cheers

mine is angled, basically the lower edge of the rad is approx 5inches from the lower chassis rail where as the upper edge is only 2inches from the chassis.
also have to think about the position for when you actually fit the hoses too,

i,ve also got the fan behind the rad, between the rad & the chassis front frame.

cheers
andy

as said mine is the clio rad. mine mounted about 15mm higher than the bottom chassis rail. i have placed mine vertical at 90 dgerees to the floor, i went along the line of thinking that its vertical in the clio so must be ok for me.

There are 15-20mm rubbers that sit on the lower mounts

its a clio rad.

430mm x 378mm x 28mm

adrad_co_uk on ebay sell them for £30 and they fit a treat under the triton nose cone
