Most of us use a panel bond like tiger seal or sikaflex on the floors.
Body panel wise, it's better to use something that is not very sticky but provides a seal, something like clear silicone I guess. That allows you to remove the panel at a later date. I could not get the bottom of my side panels over the top tube and floor at the same time so have trimmed the lower lip flush. There's more than one way to do it, so I assume you will get other varied replies. TT

Like TT said. Use a PU adhesive as well as rivets to fix the floor onto the chassis.
I have fitted all of my bodywork using button head bolts & rivinuts. I did manage to get my side panels over the top rail / floor. It is a tight fit so did not need any fixings in this area at the bottom. I did however fit some in the top rail where you get into the passenger compartment.

iv fitted items such as the nosecone, scuttle and rear tub with hex headed self tapping screws ( the same sort used for tin roof panes). There great for stuff that has to come off regularly. For side panels i put some double sided sponge tape on the chassis rails then used rivets on the top and coverd them along their legnth in self adesive foam to avoid scrathing the underside of the bonnet and scuttle. Underneath the side panels i used self tapping screws again. I used a steel floor hoewever which i riveted on and tack welded for good measure.

I have always used these self drilling hex headed screws.
http://www.weifeng-fastener.com/phot...ling-Screw.jpg They are brilliant for pipe clips, removable panels and any other lightweight fixing requirement. You just have to make sure that you dont try and use them an anything heavier than 2mm steel. The buggers sheer off before they take up thread. http://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pub...YF1DZ63HzOcuJw these angle drills are the biz as well. Bob
