I think peeps often call it as pinto as it looks quite similar but aparently has very few common components.

I'm planning on using the 1.6 Pinto from my donor, with minimal work (a good clean-up, new points, oil, filter and cam belt will be about it) to get me IVA'd. Then replace it with a road tuned 2l Pinto (a nice winter's project).

yes, your right TT and just had a look under the bonnet to double check. I was making the assumption on such an old car it would be points. Nice not to have them, they were a bit of a pain to set up.

Note to self: read Haynes manual more thouroughly!
