Default Things you wish you'd done different

Started fitting the bushes to the bones and then fitting them to the car. Straight away I was annoyed because the paint on the uprights got scraped away where the bushes/crush tubes rub. If I was doing it again I would make the brackets wider and weld in a washer the same size as the bush on the inside face. That way the paint would be untouched and the face of the washer could be greased for protection.

That sucks Gaz ....this is exactly the reason why I am nickel plating those areas, it was always a concern to me where the thickness of a coat of paint would make some tolerances very tight leading to it being worn off

wish i had got a job as a banker and got a ferrari also wish i had put the mental engine in to start with as its been a pig of a job due to its abnormality.

EXACTLY why I decided to go for a performance engine first...without this forum I think I might have given up at the first hurdle, you defo learn by reading about other peoples experiences
