Where is the best place to buy a 1.8l flywheel and clutch? Ebay doesn't seem to be showing up any good result.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge, you have to start somewhere i guess

ok if you need any photos that will help you, I have a 2l silver top sitting here that I am using and the engine is complete.

I am planning on ditching the standard inlet manifold and replacing it with 4 bike carbs and the manifold I will be using to attach them is the lower half of a focus st170 manifold. They are almost perfect for the job, it has the injector points and everything just need to make a connection for the vac for the brakes

Scrap yards are full of 1.8 motors mate. Go down and see what they have, get the flywheel, the clutch that's on it and nick the VR sensor bolted through the box.

Mitre cars (think that's the name) in south shields charge about a tenner for flywheels.

If you need a hand, me and my mate Andy with the MK can bring our cars up and let you see how its done. Where abouts are you? Gods allotment is a very big place
