Default Fuel sender

I intended to use the donor fuel sender but whilst making a slight adjustment to it, it is now stuffed. I've looked at replacements but the resistance range is 20-260 ohms whereas my original was 20 -140 ohms. I'm using the donor instrument cluster, will this be okay ?

Cheers

Peter

Are these Ford replacement senders or generic ones? and is the 20 ohms at the tank full or tank empty?

Mine goes from 20 to 260ohm Peter, if you get stuck you could position the float so that it cannot travel the full distance down, bend wire and maybe extend it to, if you get it right you'll be able to move the range to 20 - 140 ohms.

The way i understand you cant do anything else to reduce the resistance.

All the Best....AndyH

Peter

I've got one in the garage I'm not planning on using. I will check the resistance range on wed when I'm next down the garage.
