Lightbulb intake manifiold cast ally

Just a thought on intake manifolds. For years we have been involved in engine conversions and have always had our bellhousings cast in ally. The mould that we use for the sand casting i made myself. The guy at the foundry sent me back with it a couple of times for some minor adjustments but after that we have used the pattern for over a hundred times.I will get a piccy of it. Those manifolds you boys are making would be an easy cast once the pattern is made and all it would need is drilling and faceing off , it woud be a fraction of the work and would polish up. Shrinkage rate of the casting is only 2mm in every 300mm so like the bellhousings you can dial that in.Wessex castings that we did use has gone but i have found another guy near heathrow who seems just as helpful. If someone wants to make an intake mould i will run it up there.

Thoughts

The rule in our house is, if it comes from selling things, it doesn't count!!
