Default Sierra Donors in Brandon, Suffolk

Wiz along to e-prey and check these two out.

Pity they appear to have the less favoured 1.8 CVH engine.

Gearbox identification has been requested, as both are manual.

If you simply MUST have a 2.0 ltr Zetec, well they have that covered too.

Exclamation A word of caution

These 2 cars may prove to be a bargain basement source of donor parts

Just a couple of points to bear in mind.

Both have no V5 documents ( & You won't be able to get one ) , being ex US military there is not likely to be any record of them on DVLA's data base

This being the case .... There may be problems when it comes to registering your build with your local DVLA & almost certainly end up with a Q plate

Just food for thought .... If you don't mind a Q plate & a little hassle, go for it .... There may be a bargain to be had

Exclamation Age related plate

I doubt there would be any problem proving the date of manufacture for the engine

Problems will most likely arise when you try to prove the age & source of your other donor parts !!

In order to qualify for an age related plate, most of the donors parts count towards DVLA's points system for an age related plate.
With no V5 it is likely to prove difficult .... That's not to say it's impossible though

CVH 1.8 is OK. You won't be tuning it anyway, but you'll be able to use at least the shortened steel sump and starter for your Zetec swap ;-)
