Default 2.0ltr Automatic donor

Hi, I have found a sierra at a local breakers yard which is a 2.0ltr Automatic. Its' there as an mot failure scrapper. Its' got 22000 on the clock, the oil is clean and its a runner. Is there any difference with the diff and drive shafts from a manual as I have little experience with fords, I know the clutch will have to go for a type9 to be fitted but would appreciate any advice on the subject

The parts i got from a 2.0ltr Automatic were as follows,
Rear disc's with bolt in drive shafts and 3.62 diff. Ok.
Front disc's 260mm instead of std 240mm.with larger calipers. Ok
Brake master cylinder no use as abs all round = binned
No idea of year or which 2.0lt engine.

HTH.

The gearbox is pretty much the only difference between an automatic and a normal car. The diff and shafts are going to be the same.

Hi Arf. Is it the one in legacy? If so I thought it was a diesel? I have myself been looking for a donor and just made a purchase. Its a 2ltr DOHC with discs all round. All parts are there and steering column/switches are not damaged, which they were on a few I looked at.
After a lot of looking round, found this one 2 miles up the road! it was meant to be! ha ha

Will have to meet up as we said before Xmas soon.

Hi m8, could have sworn Dave told me it was a diesel, mind you looked at a few that day. He had a white 2ltr with brake discs all round in the yard aswell, but all the ones he had were damaged steering column switches. Not a big problem I know. Yeah build going good, gonna make a start on transmission tunnel 2moz, built the rear end to suit the Saturn GP rear tub(got plans off forum, thanks chaps)

The one I was looking at was a green one on the right just as you entre the yard. Have been put on to a 1.8 pinto complete with type9 for £100 so am hoping to go and see it at the weekend. Am pretty certain I will come away with it as I will be doing a complete re-build on it
