Default Brake pipes different lengths

Is there any requirement for hydraulic brake pipes to be the same length?

eg Master cylinder is a lot closer to the right front caliper than the left

BTW
Just received my front braided hoses from Sylvain (voucht) Lovely stuff great price .

My wife made me wrap them up to open on Christmas Day
