Default Offset on mushroom inserts

Hello,

I discovered that some guys are using mushroom inserts with the hole for the drag link centred, like on the Locost, and not offset as we do and as the books says.

I find it strange, but I can't really explain why on the Haynes Roadster, this hole is offset? It gives a bit more caster angle, OK, but is there another reason?

Thank you.

It may have been to correct some of the inbuilt angles in the Sierra geometry in the hubs used, there is a mention of it on here somewhere.
Bonne année et bonne santé !
