If you have to open the system and change it,hold the pedal to the floor and it will stop it emptying all over.

We do it all the time when replacing the load of pipes we change with failing MOT's.

i do dislike having the brake res so low in the system if you get any leak above it,it can letair in and you louse braking if you have the res higher it will drip out fluid and show its ugly head and the level switch will warn befor brake loss

and it makes bleeding harder
