Default Another New Guy!

Good afternoon all, oops!, I guess it's evening to you. Well, I guess I'm so "new", I don't even have my Book yet, but it is ordered. I was an auto mechanic for many years. I started back in the '60s at the only Jaguar dealer in the state of Maine. We also sold Lotus and Saab, so as you can imagine "sports cars" were in my blood. I do have a lot of racing stories, but I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been reading a lot of your experiences, and have learned a lot already, thanks to you all!! I know that when "MY" questions start , I feel that I am in good hands!! Till then I will be lurking(and learning) on this site, Thank You, Don

Welcome on board Don, I hope you have enjoyed the show so far. What sort of build did you have in mind?

Bob

Hi there,
I guess this means you will be making the following mistakes then....

1, Steering wheel on the wrong side.
2, Wishbones now called A Arms.
3, Rose joints called Heim joints.
4, In my case MX5's called Miatas.
5, Bonnet called hood...

The list goes on.......

Welcome to the mad house you're in good hands.
Any stories are more than welcome....

I nearly forgot, I guess your car is also going to be powered by gas as well.....LOL.... There's plenty of that on here for free... bugger I'm now in trouble...
I'm sure you will be more than welcome.

Johno

Welcome to the forum Don. Between the Chris Gibbs book and reading the threads on this forum you will find all the information to build a Haynes Roadster. If in doubt always ask (or search the forum) as someone will have been through the same before.
