Leftovers
You know when you've rebuilt an engine and you end up with nuts ,bolts etc and you have no idea where they go!!! Well I've just about finished tacking my chassis together and I've these little CP24 triangle thingies and cant find where they are supposed to go. Anyone know Thanks AYJAY |

Under the front lower wishbone bracket, the one nearest the rear. If that makes sense.

how important are these plates? as i apear to have forgoten them, chassis is fully painted now aswell If they are to add extra stregnth to the join between br1/br8 and br2/br9 do you think id get away with leaving them out seeing as ive added extra large 6mm plates for the engine mounts to sit on? I cant even find any mention of them in the book apart from in the appendix.

Well, if they have any structural function other than supporting the brackets, your engine plates compensate for it and then some! If the suspension brackets have enough contact with the chassis then I would not worry.

Are they supposed to reinforce that long triangle formed by the bottom rails?

They don't even tell you in the book where CP24 plates go, not too much to worry about the suspension bracket gives the BR joint all the reinforcing it needs and you also got engine mount strengthening it up too.
Chassis looking good to......AndyH

Thanks for looking! You can use Google Translate to make some sense of the text if you're tollerant to some gibberish: http://translate.google.com/translat...f%3D2%26t%3D14. It does funny things to prices though - it "translates" the currency symbol from Lt to polish zł or EUR, but leaves the numbers as they were. 1 Lt is about 0.25p.
Yeah, we got a record amount of snow this year: Today I've heard on the telly that one local airport (KUN) that is one of the Ryanair bases was open non stop despite the weather. It's just that they were prepared for everything, had snow trucks/crews on standby regardless of the forecast, etc. Seems like the winters are getting more severe throughout Europe, we should get used to snow.
