Default hubs question

The brakes I just got have vented discs and placing them up to the hubs I have it seems the studs are very short so I am assuming the original hubs donor had solid discs so my question is...

is there any difference between the hubs for solid discs and the hubs for vented discs and what length should the studs be to use the vented discs

Sierra?

Should be the same for vented or solid.
