Default A couple of Q's

Hi guys hope everyones had a good xmas..

i had chance to spend a few hours in the garage today making a few plates and have got a few questions ...

CP10x2 the hole from one end is 31mm and the other end is 25mm when welded in place which way is up?

GM1 and GM2 where on TT2 and TT3 do they go?

also i wonderd why do some diagrams in the appendix section state how many plates are required of the same number CP7 x2 for eg but then some dont CP18 for eg, not a major problem but annoying when you have made all the plates from the appendix then come to fit them you are some short.

thanks Andy

Hi Andy,

hope this helps,
CP10 fits with the 31mm distance at the bottom.

as for GM1 & 2 ..this is where its best to trial fit your engine and gearbox as you can then attach the plates to the gearbox mount and see where the GM1 & 2 naturally sit on the TT rails.
I don,t have my car at home with me but will have a look thru the hundreds of photos i have , if i see one that shows the position will post it up for you as a guide.

cheers
andy

I think the drawing on page 45 indicates the 25 mm distance is at the bottom.

Alga you are correct, it is 25mm at the bottom.

why oh why i wrote it wrong i have no idea i meant to say that the 31mm goes at the top. a case of fingers not doing what brain telling them.

Sorry for any confusion i may have caused.

cheers andy
