That is 1 dimension that I just can,t remember from my build, BUT I,ll happily dismantle my suspension tomorrow & measure it for you Sam

Tho my engine is only a little 4 pot

A good suspension set up really "makes" the car, so worth getting more experienced info from spring/suspension "guru,s".

all the best

Springs are 8" springs but actually when you measure them are 8 1/2".

350lb front and 250lb rear give a really well balanced car.

No need no need don't go to those lengths for me! Thanks for the offer though.

My rear springs are vertical as I'm using the BMW semi trailing arms rather than the roadster IRS or locost live axle. (I just wanted to be different!)

I have a fair bit of unsprung weight there, more than a roadster anyway, does that also affect spring rate?

It wouldn,t have been a problem, as I,m taking my suspension off today to fit a side panel, but Spud has given the length info now so no worries.

I don,t know enough about suspension setup to give the info you need

cheers

Type in "spring rate spreadsheet" in a search on web and it brings up loads of info.
