Default MGB donor

I currently have a 72 MGB I am thinking of using as the body is too rusty to rebuild and was thinking of using it to build a 7 style car for a retirement project. I was wondering if the rear axle is wide enough and if anyone has used this car before as a donor?

HI
Welcome to the forum. The Haynes Roadster has an independent suspension so would need some changes to the rear end for a live axel. The Ron Champion book build a sports car for £250 has a live axle design. The locost is 2 inches narrower then the Roadster so will suite MG live axle better. Hope this is of some help.
