Well done for cutting it all yourself, I cheated with the kit!!
I am the same as you in that I needed to learn to weld, i bought a BOC dvd on mig welding, and printed off the tutorials from the mig welding forum, bought a cheap welder & mask and off I went. Lots of people go for the college course route, but I didn't like the cost of it or the time it takes. Will look forward to reading your updates.

Hey Twin just been looking at your progress, looking good. I take it this place of learning that you work at doesn't have a big enough budget to run to a floor brush and shovel.

The straw kinda gave me a clue, I have spent a lot of time working in Farm workshops .... The odd bonfire when you are welding keeps you on your toes

Once you have your build table made, you'll be good to go with the fun part of the build
