Want to replace the seals on the old calipers, wondering if these are any good, not many choices showed up on fleabay!

Using the rear discs and calipers off my donor, a sierra 4x4.

Any help regarding either the seals or this guy on ebay would be apreciated...

Just had a reply from the seller, they are the same seals and pistons so no probs there.

New question: Brakes have been unused for a couple years, sat in a hedge for a couple before that! Should i get new pistons as well as seals all in one go and fit together?

HI 2 ALL
I am looking for a caliper repair kit for my front sierra calipers. there seems to be various sizes for various models, I have been to the local factors, I have been to the ford main agent, they all say the same "cant get them"
I tried e.bay, even bought some, but did not fit, are we all destined to have to buy new calipers, if anyone has been able to buy some i would really be grateful for some help, the guy at ford even gave me the part no. 6128159
I'm tearing my hair out........EDDIE

Recon calipers on ebay £36 at that price why bother servicing the old ones? Send the old ones to them and get £30 back.

That's a fair point Phil but . .

That's £36 a side so £72

I think Big Red do the kits for £25 inc both sides

And if those guys on the bay can refurbish them then they have to be getting the seals from somewhere so they must be available!

Plus you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself, I'l be doing mine and that's part of my motivation :)

Going by the numbers wont always work. Sierra calipers come in different piston sizes depending on year and model. TT would know which ones had the larger pistons. That is where the trouble starts because you cant be sure that the donor car has the correct calipers on it, there is a lot of interchangeability (fmb is that a proper word) and given the age of the car its probably best to measure pistons etc before ordering anything.
