Morning,

I've not posted for a long time but this doesn't mean my build has been abandoned/stopped, it's just very slow. Three years to the month since I ordered my steel and bought my donor. Chassis complete, all donor parts refurbed and fitted, nose cone on, all front suspension and steering assembled.

I have however come across a problem whilst offering up the wheels. I bought some alloys a few years ago, which were advertised as 15" RS alloy wheels. I have (of course) Sierra hubs. The wheel fits all right on the hub but the nuts (original Sierra ones) will not secure the wheel. The holes on the alloys are slightly larger in diameter than the nut.

So, I believe the alloys would have originally been secured using bolts. My question is: Is there a approriate wheel nut that will be sutiable? I've had a quick search but can't find much info.

Photos attached

Thanks for any help.

They are Scorpio Cosworth Alloys, Not RS.

They should fit the Sierra Hubs without any problem,

The scorpio nuts may have a larger face, I can't remember, but scorpio wheels get used on sierras and vice versa.

Thanks for the info. on the wheels TT.

I have now found some appropriate nuts. They have a captive washer which has a large diameter than the nut.

Sound like standard ford alloy nuts.

I was just thinking that myself....presume your donor came with steel wheels or some dodgy character was using steel wheel nuts instead of alloy ones! :D
