I've spotted a Pinto exhaust manifold for sale - but from a MK Indy. Any ideas if it'd be suitable for a Haynes with Pinto fitted? Or is it a case of 'it'll be different for each build' - and i'll definitely need one custom made?

If it is not a direct fit it would be a good starting point to either cut and shut it or just rob it of parts to make your own.

I got a cheap ebay Pinto exhaust for my car for £19. I made it fit. Taking into account that the pinto exits on the drivers side and my engine exits on the passenger side. Just chopped it up and tigged it back together.

ask gbs/kitspares for a zero gt(wide body) manifold without the flange welded.

im useing a zetec but its long enough to get over the top rails i just offerd it up where i wanted it to be and tacked it.

worth aso getting one with a lambda boss for dyno or fuel injection use

I would very much expect a pinto exhaust from an MK will fit a Haynes because the cars are so very similar (both chassis designed by Martin Keenan). i have a pinto in my MK Iny if you need any measurements or photos

I used an mk exhaust manifold fits well but the angle is slightly wrong I had to cut and move it very slightly depends how closely you want to follow the lines
