I'm taking it to slalom competitions (similar to autotest in UK).

Also we have a speed slalom series, which is more like a ciruit time attack, but with lots of slalom elements to keep the speeds down and to keep the production cars with no FIA safety gear acceptable.

I've been to 4 races total, started in May as a complete novice. During the first event I only overtook Ladas and lady drivers, and yesterday I finished 8th overall out of 59, 4th place in the RWD2000 class. Here's the video:

I tell you, at these events I feel what's this car is meant for. Normal road driving does not even get close. Also, I'm so thrilled with the progress I'm making.

wonder if there is enough demand to set up a series/championship????

I have noooo idea how to arrange it but it must be a good way to get regular track time.

have to put strict power to wieght controls to stop it being the richest driver wins.

and lots of other control parts to get good deal with some suppliers.

I put one together with input from Saturn Sports cars to race for Teamtrain
in the north and it races in Northern sports and saloons and goes very well with 2ltr zetec quaife box and diff.

We already have auto testing at competition level, if I remember rightly, I think the Demon Tweeks Championship run kit cars, I have seen them at Rugby truck stop a while ago. They were using strikers & westfields e.t.c. These blokes really know how to handle a car, I really want to try it, but knowing my luck I would wreck my car in front of every one ! Lol:D

I have seen some of the pilots that fly them jump planes outside of the dz I would rather jump than suffer a landing with them lol

Will take a photo of my goggles tomorrow and post them up they got interchangeable lenses you can have dark yellow or clear so they good for all roadster conditions

Biggles goggles are only suitable when accompanied by sheep skin jacket leather hat and white silk scarf

I used to have my ppl myself a long time ago without crashing but once went up with one of the skydive pilots and had a landing in a cessna 206 turbo the pilot knackered the landing up and ripped the nose gear off he bruised my knee

But the best was an in islander the port engine packed up at 8k as the pilot turned round to say "think we got a problem here lads" all he saw was the last pair of ankles going out the door lol

I use Biggles goggles because they fit over my glasses. I can't be bothered with contacts in the mornig, so kit car shades are out of the question, and a full helmet is often too restrictive. And riding without the windscreen you get some sand in your face.

I retired from scuba diving this year, still got my dive mask so will that do.
Why do divers roll backwards off a boat, cos if they rolled forward you would still be on the boat

Boom boom

Decent flying jacket is the price of a set of shocks and then some.

Taken off blind with map in window and safety pilot in right seat, friendly with owners of Peterlee center and had rides in their jump plane, nice piece of kit.

Love IMC flying done lots in cloud at night, real butt clencher, lucky to never had a you know what landing, its getting expensive to fly just for fun, hoping to do twin rating before winter set's in.

Have a word with ian at peterlee am sure he could do with a pilot

Been a long time since I was there have they still got double echo (G-PLEE) used to be frightning sitting in the open door on take off but clenching till about 2000ft when I knew I could do something about falling out the door although there was one pilot malcolm that used to like to nose forward them kick a little left rudder and float people out the plane

Only happened to me once at 9000ft then everytime he flew I didn't ended up landing in the middle of a football pitch about 2 miles away trying to stop the match at about 300ft then some nice people have me a lift back

Way I see it is you came into the world kicking and screaming why not go out the same way

Spoke to ian and Paul a few times,he bought a new plane and to do the rating would be lots of money and also need Cpl but that's no probs, think I will just stick to sunday jaunts around the northeast as its easier.
