Hi everyone
Been having a few issues with my flasher warning light
I bought a 3 terminal flasher relay and wired 1 terminal to ign live 1 terminal to the indicator switch and 1 terminal to a warning light the warning light then goes to earth
The indicators work fine my issue is the warning light which comes on as soon as I turn the ignition on then flashes when I turn the indicators on
So how can I make the warning light only light up and flash when I use the indicators
Many thanks

You need the output from the unit to the indicators to take the feed to warning lamp.

When I say warning light I mean a small pilot light to indicate the indicators are on on the dash

What Paul means is to take or find the wire that is spliced into the feeding +ve to your indicators, if you have lft and rgt idiot lights (dash) then you need 2 feeds from each indicator to your dash lights and the easiest place to take a new set from would be the repeater indicators that are usually fitted to wings.
Hope this helps

Ah yes I see what if I only wanted one idiot light

A signal diode with the white band or + side pointing towards a single idiot light will allow the current to flow only in that direction, without it all your indicators would come on regardless, this would be placed in the spliced feed from your lft and rgt repeaters or whatever

Exactly like that ! Sorry if explaination was vague but I forget that we are not all in the motor trade or have electrical expierience .;)
