Hi All,

On their website for the last few weeks they had a notice saying they were on holiday
Seems a long time to wait. Have you had any contact at all?

Hi John, i pinged you an email earlier today to say your parts have been scheduled in with TNT to be delivered next week.
I think that if i explain my current circumstances it may help, this year the roadster market has been very slow and talking to other suppliers they are in the same boat as well which meant that i had to increase my day job hours to cover the workshop bills etc. Unfortunately working 9-5 with an hours drive each way has had a knock on affect of reducing my hours in the workshop causing a delay in getting parts out
At the beginning of last month i shut for a couple of weeks as i booked time off my day job to try and clear a backlog of orders that had built up, unfortunately i made the error of putting a promo code on the site which people used so i didn't really clear the backlog.
I am nearly through all of the back orders and all out standing items should be out soon.
At the end of august ill be going back to my usual workshop hours which will mean the turn around on items will be back to normal.
Sorry for the delay.
Dan

Hi Dan,
Yes, I've seen that email now. If I do indeed get my bodywork next week I'll be reasonably happy.
Had no intention of starting a Gillham bashing thread, just getting a bit twitchy about you having my cash for so long precisely because it is a difficult market (and many other suppliers have dissapeared without a trace in the past).
The fact your website has said you're currently closed for two weeks for the last couple of months hasn't helped!

It's now the end of 'next week' (and 13 weeks since I placed the order), and I still haven't received my parts...

I am now in my 14th month and counting for outstanding items. I will give the chap credit that i have received majority of my order, but there are still a few outstanding items.

Are Gillham still open for business? Their website seems to have not half as many products as it used to on it...

Kit car direct (http://www.kitcardirect.co.uk/exterior/haynes-roadster-10-piece-body-work-set-grp.html) said that they have taken over the moulds from Gillham. Maybe it's worth contacting them.

A courteous email from gillham would have been nice to say that they are no longer making the parts and have passed the moulds on would have been nice instead of just ignoring emails....
Saying that tho those moulds must be cursed or something, they have had five owners in the last seven years by my reckoning:eek:

At that price it makes buying from Equinox instead a no brainer.

Had a reply from Dan tonight specifying a 30 day lead time so I guess he's still making the parts.....

Dan got back to me on Friday saying he thought he had emailed me the date that I can pick bodywork up.
I've never looked forward to a 2 hours plus drive so much.
Dan's told me I can pick up body work on the 25th of April fingers cross.
This was part of a group buy so would be nice to here from anyone else on the forum who took Dan up on this group buy.
